I myself have still not done a complete transfer, but instead have just transferred the save files I cared to play on my Wii U such as Skyward Sword and New Play Control: Pikmin 2 (as the disc drive on my Wii is broken). That being said, if you've modded your Wii, the Wii U might not like those save files-especially the ones that you're normally unable to transfer off the Wii (ie. For some reason, the Wii had this weird requirement that the game be played before a save file could be transferred, and this is still present in the virtualized version on the Wii U. You'll have to pop the game in the Wii U and start it up first, though. If you don't care about the Miis and you don't have any downloaded games, you can just transfer most of your save data to the SD card and then copy it to the Wii U just like you would with a regular Wii. ![]()
